A number transfer PIN is used when you want to transfer your phone number from one cell phone carrier to another.

You’ll need to give your AT&T transfer PIN to your new carrier so your phone number transfer can be authorized.

Here is how to get your AT&T transfer PIN in three ways:

  1. Using your phone
  2. Using the myAT&T app
  3. Using the AT&T website

1. How to Get Your AT&T Transfer PIN Using Your Phone

To get your AT&T transfer PIN using your AT&T phone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the phone app and dial *PORT (*7678) and press call.
  2. Verify your AT&T account by saying or entering your AT&T verification PIN to the system. Your verification PIN is a four digit number you set up when you first signed up for service and created your AT&T account.
  3. AT&T will automatically text you your transfer PIN.

Your transfer PIN will be valid for four days from the date and time it is generated.
