How To Get Your Verizon Number Transfer PIN

Your Verizon transfer PIN is a special 6 digit PIN generated by Verizon.
It is used to authorize the transfer of your phone number from Verizon to a new cell phone carrier.
You give your transfer PIN to the new carrier you are switching to. Your new carrier confirms the information is correct with Verizon before Verizon releases your phone number to your new carrier.

Here is how to get your Verizon number transfer PIN.
Step 1: Dial #PORT (#7678) from your Verizon phone and press call.
Step 2: Verizon will send you an automated message with a link to generate a transfer PIN. Tap the link to open it.
Step 3: Tap "Generate PIN."
Step 4: Verizon will show you a screen with your number transfer PIN and your Verizon account number. Provide this information to your new carrier to successfully transfer your phone number from Verizon to your new carrier.
Your number transfer PIN will be valid for 7 days after you generate it.
After 7 days, you will need to follow the steps again to generate a new number transfer PIN.
You can cancel your number transfer PIN at any time.
Step 1: Open the My Verizon App.
Step 2: Tap the Account tab at the bottom.
Step 3: Tap Edit profile & settings at the top of the page.
Step 4: Scroll down until you see Number Transfer PIN and tap it.
Step 5: Tap Generate PIN.
Step 6: Verizon will display your transfer PIN and account number for porting your phone number to your new carrier.
Your transfer PIN will be valid for 7 days after it is generated. You can cancel your transfer PIN at any time if you no longer need it.
